I take this challenge as a sense of humour. You know…seeing other people’s misery in battling the wind. Yeah, it’s a bad thing to think about but can’t help but giggle for a moment. Bikers toppling sideways when a sudden wind just rushed towards them. Then there are old women walking against the wind direction leaning forward.
I had to battle it out too. The wind was blowing Northward and guess what…i had to go Southward…to the exam room! I wondered how longer it takes compared to normal when there was gale force wind at present. Took me about 5 min, especially when there were wind tunnels at intersections.
I came inside the uni building alive. Had to defrost my hands by soaking it with warm water for a minute. Then off i go writing away 2 essays in 2 hours. It wasn’t difficult, just boring. I was quite satisfied with my preperation…since i didn’t do any prep at all. All those info are still fresh in my brain since i completed a thesis on a relevant topic just 4 days before. Quite easy to fill up the pages. Write whatever.
Then after the completion of exam, i walked back home. Instead of just the wind, but a slicing force of rain. Good thing i had my black hoodie jumper on. The rain won’t change the colour of my jumper, but it obviously make it spongy being soaked. I didn’t mind at all. I liked this challenge and i have grown to accept the Amsterdam weather. Perhaps it’s because the progressive longevity of the daytime, which i really like.
Such is life.
