About the Author
I’m a International Relations major (student), who loves hardstyle music while addicted to punchy vintage cheese. I do receive a lot of raise eyebrow look when i dictate that sentence. Not many people do have that combination.
Photography
It all started in 2003 when my parent bought me a Canon S50. It was major back then since most cradle P&S cameras were 3mp while mine was 5mp. Been documenting my school experiences and friends.
2004 was the year where my photographic hobby flourished. Bought a Nikon D70 with 18-70 kit lens and 24-120 VR. Documented the final year of high school including graduation and ‘get together’.
Then 2006 i wanted to replace Nikon D70 with Canon system as it was inadequate for my type of photography. D70 didn’t handle low light well. Bought a 30D in conjunction to a 24-105L. Now, i’m slowly stocking my lens for ‘Europe & Beyond’ trip.
Why Amsterdam?
Going overseas for a year and study is the main component of my studies in uni. I have got lucky in being selected for Amsterdam as there were high demand and every students wanted to drink till drop. Still counting my blessing that i’m fortunate enough to spend 12 months in this fascinating city while taking opportunities to travel around Europe.
Travelling overseas bring a whole new experience to everything. From philosophy to morals and ethics, government policies and local issues. In the end it’s a character-building adventure and it cannot be valued in such financial terms.
