I got butterflies the whole time reading your post, it’s not good to get anxious, nervous and excited a few mins before going to bed… I’ll never get to sleep now!
As if I wasn’t already excited about it already… only about 50 odd more days till I’m over, looking forward to parything with ya!!!

(PS tried to post this on your Sensation blog page but it keeps coming back with error, so I pasted it here just in case it didn’t work on the other page)
Wicked blog man, just stumbled across it while researching about living in Amsterdam. I’m a Melbourne boy myself but have been living in Sydney for the past 2 years. I took the plunge a few months back, quit my job and I’m heading overseas. Getting a working holiday visa organised now and have a one-way ticket to Amsterdam in mid-July. By everything I’ve read, I should have a f*cking fantastic time. Cheers for the insights and the awesome photos (can’t wait to hit the festivals and parties)!
We are interested in publishing one of your photographs that we found on Flickr. Please contact me so that I may send more information.
Best,

hey mate, i have always wondered what it would be like to live in Holland & experience their hard dance culture & how good they have it there. I have been listening to Dutch hard tunes for over 15 years now, i too have travelled to Holland in 1996 (yes i’m a veteran). While in Holland i did attend the hardest rave at the time “HELLBOUND” @ Hemkade,Zandaam. We hooked up with the Den Haag gabber crew & went together with them,it was how like you explained a train load full of shaven head gabbers heading to HELLBOUND,crazy shit man. After the recent defqon 1 fest Australia which by the way was amazing & has infact set the bar of what people expect from festivals, big up’s to Q-dance for that,i am now planning to do party/fest holiday in HOLLAND in 2010,my question is about purshaseing tix for Q-dance events in Holland,i have read on forums that tix sell like hot cakes & are very hard to get,is this true & what is the best way to secure tix like becoming a member of Q-dance.nl,i have read a recent post on their web site stating that tix will only be avaliable through Q-dance for 2010 & not tickesonline.nl as usual, what do you know about this. Thanks for a fasinating insight of dutch life also a great read, thank you.
Dear Paul,
Thanks for your feedback. You are right tht some parties sell like hotcake. All 40,000+ tickets for DefQon-1 sold within 3 hours and there were server crashes because of the volume of websurfers going in all at once.
I don’t think that the tickets will be exclusive to just the Q-dance subscribers although it would be advantagous as they publish updates such as upcoming parties, when/where tickets will be sold and how.
There were two types of tickets sold t ticketonline.nl. An e-ticket which is just pdf and users can print if off. And a hardcopy ticket which was mailed off to users. Generally they send hardcopy tickets; which means you must let them know that you are from Australia. They probably have a phone number which sells ticket as well.
So make sure you adjust your alarm and be ready to buy the ticket on that hour.
Have fun!
